Iraq PHEP-SPO Workshop (2)
A three-month, in-service training program, the Public Health Empowerment Program – Surveillance for Polio Officers (PHEP-SPO) aims to build the capacities of communicable disease officers at the district level from the governorates of Basrah, Thi Qar, Mesan and Wasit. The PHEP-SPO capitalizes on the expertise of these officers to meet the country’s need to expand the national public health workforce, especially at the district level.
This training workshop aims to provide participants with necessary technical and practical skills to conduct disease outbreak investigation. It also aims to provide the participants with the necessary skills related to management and leadership to effectively and efficiently maintain and improve the performance and outcomes of their respective programs and units.
