GHD|EMPHNET believes in the power of harnessing technology for addressing public health challenges. In using digital solutions for public health, GHD|EMPHNET is contributing to core public health sciences and services. For instance, GHD|EMPHNET supports countries in public health informatics, assisting in the generation, analysis, and dissemination of data and information. Another specific area of using ICT in public health is employing ICT for gathering/managing real-time data and extracting information from datasets using mobile/digital data collection tools. In doing so, GHD|EMPHNET contributes to communicating data on the health of communities. Working in partnership with the private sector, GHD|EMPHNET also supports and promotes innovative ICT applications to be used in monitoring performance, research, and program management.
In a region where conflict can disrupt daily activities, technology can be employed to respond to various public health challenges in an innovative manner. This is where GHD|EMPHNET supports countries in using ICT for remote learning in order to ensure access to knowledge and mentorship to all targeted professionals and individuals.
