Deadline for application submission is June 30th, 2014 Be a STOP Volunteer, and Apply to be Part of the STOP Transmission of Polio Program Why STOP? The STOP Transmission of Polio Program provides a very good experience in vaccine preventable disease surveillance, outbreak response and immunizations. What We Need? STOP is seeking experienced public health professionals - including medical epidemiologists and public health nurses to serve as volunteers for the planning and implementation of its public health communication programs. Who is Our Ideal Candidate? STOP program is seeking volunteers who; · Have at least three years of direct experience in data compilation and management, data analysis, and data management training · Hold a graduate degree in Public Health (or a related field) · Have a minimum of five years of public health experience, working with public health surveillance systems, plus experience in a developing country. · Are fluent in a foreign language French, Arabic, or Portuguese) is preferred. · Can work on communicable disease or vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, especially AFP surveillance · Can work on supplementary immunization activities (SIAs) · Can implement, monitoring, and evaluating immunization programs · Can conduct disease outbreak investigations When Are You Needed?
