Announcing the Tenth Webinar in the One Health Bangladesh Special Webinar Series on COVID-19
July 01, 2020

One Health Bangladesh, a multidisciplinary platform dealing with health threats at human-animal – environmental interface, has been organizing a series of webinars in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The set of webinars is being organized in partnership with Global Health Development (GHD).

The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to spread across the world and claim lives. South Asian countries, including Bangladesh, are facing tremendous challenges to tackle health threats. During this crisis, access to the right information is crucial for tackling COVID-19 and preventing another pandemic of misinformation.

Join us on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 9:00 AM Bangladesh Local Time (GMT +6) for the tenth weekly interactive webinar titled “One Health Capacity Building to Tackle Pandemics.” This session will focus on capacity building for combating pandemics through multidisciplinary One Health Approach.

Key speakers include:

  • Dr. Joanna McKenzie, Senior Lecturer in One Health Epidemiology and International Development, mEpiLab, School of Veterinary Sciences, Massey University, New Zealand
  • Robert Salerno, Director, Global Health Security, DAI Global Health.
  • Dr. M Salim Uzzaman, Principal Scientific Officer, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Directorate General of Health Services and General Secretary, One Health Bangladesh.

The session will be moderated by Prof. Nitish Debnath, National Coordinator, One Health Bangladesh.
