Announcing Call for Abstracts for the Seventh EMPHNET Regional Conference
August 09, 2021

We are pleased to announce that EMPHNET is now accepting submissions of abstracts for its Seventh EMPHNET Regional Conference, set to be held using the hybrid approach from November 14 to 18, 2021.

 

Adopting the theme “Towards Public Health Resilience in the Eastern Mediterranean Region: Breaking Barriers,” the conference will provide a platform for participants   to share experiences they have  accumulated while responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Thus, conference  sessions will be dedicated to exploring ways for achieving public health resilience in the EMR. They will shed light on the latest scientific findings, important lessons learned, and discussions on ways in which current barriers can be broken down through coordination and collaboration.

 

Abstracts should be submitted for projects that address a topic within the conference theme. Suggested topics include:

  • Communicable diseases
  • COVID-19 Response
  • Non-communicable diseases
  • Public health in emergencies
  • Disease surveillance
  • Outbreak investigations
  • Emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases
  • Public health in mass gathering
  • Maternal and child health
  • Immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Polio eradication in EMR
  • Health protection and promotion
  • Research in the context of the EMR
  • Others

 

For those interested in participating in the conference, abstracts submission for oral and poster presentations is open between August 9, 2021, and September 30, 2021. Abstracts should be submitted online through EMPHNET’s Conference Website where more information is available about Abstract Submission Guidelines and the conference in general.
