GHD|EMPHNET Translation Internship Opportunity

GHD|EMPHNET’s Translation and Localization Unit (TLU) is announcing a new internship opportunity in which interns will engage in a professional translation environment while cooperating with senior translators and linguists. The TLU will provide candidates a profound expertise ranging from building basic translation competencies to broader communication skills.

 

The TLU internship provides an opportunity for interns to enter the field of public health and get exposed to its importance in the EMR under the umbrella of translation. It is also an excellent opportunity for interns to tune their current skills into practice. 

 

The intern’s role will be to translate a variety of public health related materials including social media posts, articles, newsletters, proofreading, editing, and other related duties as assigned by the intern’s mentor. Interns will develop their professional skills and experience through participation in work in a regional context.

 

Minimum Education Requirements

This opportunity is open to fresh graduates or undergraduate students of English Language, Translation, or any related field.

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Arabic and English
  • Excellent knowledge of Arabic formal communication language
  • Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.

 

Other Relevant Details

  • The project can begin as early as October 24, 2021.
  • This is an unpaid position.
