Afghanistan

EMPHNET’s first collaboration with the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) started in 2015 with a focus on supporting polio eradication and expanded to building workforce capacities in other areas.

Bangladesh

EMPHNET extended its collaboration beyond the Eastern Mediterranean Region, supporting countries like Bangladesh in strengthening capacities aligned with International Health Regulations and the Global Health Security Agenda.

Egypt

EMPHNET worked with the Ministry of Health and Population toward building workforce capacity in field epidemiology, rapid response, polio assets transitioning, and other priority areas.

EMPHNET began collaborating with the Libya Ministry of Health and Libya’s National Center of Disease Control by signing a five-year MOU in 2019, with a focus on biorisk management and emergency response.

Morocco

Since 2017, EMPHNET has been working with the Morocco Ministry of Health toward strengthening the surveillance of Acute Flaccid Paralysis, measles, and other vaccine preventable diseases throughout the country.

EMPHNET has been supporting Saudi Arabia's FETP through creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, training, and research. More recently, EMPHNET began supporting the country in enhancing rapid response capacities.

Somalia

Our collaboration with Somalia began by empowering community response in COVID-19 and later in supporting frontline immunization workers.

Sudan

Over the last five years, EMPHNET has been working with the Federal Ministry of Health to build the capacities of public health professionals in disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and emergency preparedness and response.
