EMPHNET and CRDF Global Sign Partnership Agreement

On December 14, 2016, EMPHNET signed a partnership agreement with CRDF Global in a joint meeting held at the Kempinski Hotel, Dead Sea, Jordan.

 

CRDF Global is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes international scientific and technical collaboration through grants, technical resources, training, and services. It is headquartered in the US, with offices in the MENA and Eurasia regions. CRDF Global’s focus areas include public health and global health security, along with biosecurity, and chemical, and nuclear security.

 

Under this agreement, EMPHNET and CRDF Global will partner to utilize and explore opportunities for projects of mutual interest to both organizations. More specifically, both organizations will capitalize on their respective resources, reach, and capacities to launch joint projects in Global Health Security and related areas. The two organizations will also cooperate to exchange technical, logistic, and administrative services.

 

The agreement was signed by EMPHNET’s Executive Director Dr. Mohannad Al-Nsour and CRDF Global’s President and CEO Mr. Michael A. Dignam.

 

EMPHNET and CRDF Global previously collaborated to conduct three workshops earlier this year in Ukraine on International Health Regulations (IHR, 2005) and Rapid Response Teams (RRTs). These workshops were designed to strengthen Ukraine’s public health workforce in responding to disease outbreaks and other public health threats.
