Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP).
This project involves building core competencies in field epidemiology. Thus, it covers issues like surveillance, outbreak investigation, communication skills, training of trainers (ToT), and field research.
The project’s objective is to build capacity in core competencies of field epidemiology, and to support the health systems to detect, respond and prevent harmful public health events. The project also aims to build the capacity of the health workforce in training (TOT), to enhance the communication skills, and to support the operation research.
The project is an excellent opportunity for students to gain skills that would be beneficial for their future careers, such as analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs. The students would also be conducting operation research and drafting communication matearial.
During this internship, the students would be responsible for the following tasks: developing/ enhancing trainings materials, analyzing reports and raw data on training events, developing/ reviewing training tools and methods, and reviewing the literature.
This project will be based at Global Health Development| the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network, Amman, Jordan. Remote working options are also available.
The project can begin as early as October 15 for a period of three months .
This is an unpaid position.
