PHEP-BFE Implementation and Stakeholders’ Workshop
The Public Health Empowerment Program-Basic Field Epidemiology (PHEP-BFE) is a regional three-month, in-service program where participants learn and practice the fundamental skills of surveillance and outbreak investigation. Customized to address the individual needs of countries in the region, the PHEP-BFE was developed by GHD/EMPHNET to support health systems in responding to the region’s increasingly complex health challenges.
The PHEP-BFE Implementation and Stakeholder Workshop is to present an overview of the program for primary health care physicians in Jordan, to highlight the rationale for establishing the PHEP-BFE in the country, and to reach a consensus on the proposed curriculum and implementation plan. This workshop advocates for strengthening collaboration and facilitating means for effective communications among all stakeholders involved in establishing this program.
