Internship Opportunity: Support the Development of Online Courses with EMPHNET’s eLearning Team

 

Are you passionate about education, instructional design, or making learning more accessible through technology? EMPHNET is offering an internship opportunity within its Electronic Learning and Training Unit. This internship is ideal for students or fresh graduates interested in instructional design, educational technology, or digital content creation.

 

About EMPHNET’s Work in eLearning

In response to the growing demand for online training, EMPHNET’s Electronic Learning and Training Unit—housed within the Center of Excellence for Applied Epidemiology (CEAE)—was established to design and deliver innovative eLearning solutions tailored to the needs of public health professionals.

 

The unit develops a wide range of online courses—from academic content to professional development and vocational training—hosted on the EMPHNET Learning Management System (EMPHNET LMS). These courses are interactive, learner-centered, and accessible, supporting both individual learning and institutional capacity-building. Read more here.

 

About the Project

This project aims to enrich EMPHNET’s Learning Management System (LMS) with engaging self-paced online courses. The focus is on designing and developing short courses and training programs that empower learners to acquire new skills at their own pace. Interns will contribute to the development of multimedia materials, assessments, and interactive elements that enhance the online learning experience for public health professionals and EMPHNET staff.

 

By joining us, you will:

  • Gain practical experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
  • Support the creation of engaging multimedia learning content.
  • Work on storyboarding, course structuring, and content design.
  • Develop valuable skills in educational technology tools and platforms.
  • Contribute to public health workforce development across the region.

 

The intern’s main responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in designing storyboards for online courses.
  • Developing and formatting eLearning materials and content.
  • Collaborating with the team to refine course flow and user experience.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate or fresh graduate in Instructional Design, Educational Technology (EdTech), or any related field. Candidates interested in a career shift to eLearning are also welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Interest in online learning tools, good organizational and design-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and strong command of Arabic.

 

Internship Details:

Duration: Three months.

Location: Face to face in Amman, Jordan.

Note: This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
