GHD|EMPHNET has worked extensively with ministries of health in the region toward enhancing the capacities of the public health workforce, achieving a successful track record in offering capacity-building activities geared towards equipping public health professionals with knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenge of health system strengthening.

Complementing national efforts, GHD|EMPHNET ensures that it designs training activities customized to country-specific needs.  In its training activities, the organization employs an integrated approach by using field experience, table-top exercises, and case studies. GHD|EMPHNET ensures that it develops and supports various modalities of training: pre-service, in-service, and post-service. This stems from the organization’s belief that a qualified workforce is in need of continuing professional development.
