The Field Epidemiology Training Program of Jordan aims to improve reporting and surveillance systems, prepare the country for outbreak investigations, and address trends for communicable and non-communicable diseases. Approximately 70% of Jordan’s FETP graduates work at the central or governorate levels where 8 of the 12 governorates have at least one FETP graduate working at the government level. This program has been incorporated into the community medicine residency program and counts as a two- year residency program toward the community medical board.

  • Participating in various conferences and presenting multiple abstracts based on research projects
  • Institutionalizing the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, with surveys published in the years 2002, 2004, and 2007.
  • Institutionalizing the Jordan Infectious Diseases Information System
