The Field Epidemiology Training Program of Tunisia was launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Tunisia, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and GHD|EMPHNET to be housed within the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases. The program aims to increase the use of science and data to efficiently respond to national and international threats to public health. 80% of the training time is spent in a mentored field setting, and residents are given five deliverables as a chance to measure and demonstrate competencies.
